FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to some of the most common questions about our practice, services, and appointments.

What psychiatric services do you offer?

We provide a range of services including Initial Psychiatric Evaluations, Medication Management, Individual Therapy, and Family & Couples Therapy.

Medication Management appointments are for evaluating, prescribing, and adjusting psychiatric medications. These are conducted by healthcare providers specializing in psychiatry and focus on your medication plan, side effects, and how medications are helping with your symptoms.

Psychotherapy (Talk therapy) appointments focus on exploring thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to help manage life challenges, address mental health conditions, or support personal growth. These sessions do not involve medication prescriptions.

We have specialized and dedicated teams supporting patients in each of those areas.

We treat a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, mood disorders, schizophrenia, and more. View all conditions we treat.

We treat patients in New Jersey and Connecticut. However, you can also be seen online via a secure telehealth solution. If you are seeking Medication Management, please note that New Jersey law stipulates that patients seeking appointments for medication management to treat ADHD, and other conditions, may only be prescribed Stimulants (e.g. Adderall, Ritalin, Vyvanse, etc) after an in-person appointment.

In most cases no referral is required to schedule an appointment for Medication Management or Psychotherapy. However, some insurance plans may require one. If unsure, our team will be happy to check that for you. Please complete the brief inquiry form and we will contact your insurance to verify on your behalf. Complete the inquiry form.

You can schedule your Initial Consultation by calling (973) 600-5465 or by simply completing our Appointment Inquiry Form. A team member will contact you to discuss options that best match your schedule. Appointment Inquiry Form.

We accept many major insurance plans (e.g. Optum, Cigna, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, AETNA) and update our website frequently. If you cannot find your insurance listed, get in touch and we will be happy to check network coverage for you. Please complete this brief form and we will contact your insurance and confirm coverage and benefits back to you. Complete the insurance check form.

Currently we are not in network with either Medicaid or Medicare.

We accept most major credit and debit cards, checks, and out-of-network insurance reimbursement. If you are unsure about coverage or payment options, our staff can assist you.

Your first session will typically include an intake interview (Initial Consultation) where your clinician will gather your history, symptoms, and treatment goals. From there, a personalized care plan is developed.
